Snickerdoodles

Brett’s favorite.
•1 & 1/2 cups sugar
•1/2 cup margarine or butter softened
•1/2 cup shortening
•2 eggs
•2 & 3/4 cups flour
•2 teaspoons cream of tartar
•1 teaspoon baking soda
•1/4 teaspoon salt
•1/4 cup sugar plus 2 teaspoons cinnamon
1.Preheat oven to 375 degrees
2.In a large bowl cream together with mixer, 1 1/2 cups sugar, the margarine, shortening and eggs.
3.Stir together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt.
4.Add to creamed mixture.
5.Roll in balls.
6.Dip in the sugar cinnamon mixture.
7.Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
8.Bake 8 – 10 minutes until set. Will be pale brown. Don’t overcook.
Remove from cookie sheet and let cool. Makes about 4 dozen cookies.
